  5. I only came into this thread to celebrate with y’all (because I’m trying to avoid spoilers). All the slalom athletes were watching from their hotel and went crazy when she won. I still can’t believe it. We’re supposed to suck at canoe, but we’ve had a few above average performances in Hungary this time around. I’m really hopeful for all US canoeing at the Olympics next year. I honestly don’t know if we’ve ever had a better canoe program.

  8. As always in we only care about the first day of Judo competitions. I doubt Paula can defend her medal from last year, she isn't in good health. I see a dangerous korean in her 1/16 way, I think that will be the end of the road, sadly.

  9. World Record for in one of the shot put events. It was on his third throw and he’s finished at the halfway mark. He seems to think he’ll be the only throwing that far today. I’d say he’s right, so good choice to conserve energy.

  12. and the day after came the 4th win in history at a major tournament, during the first two days the girls equaled the amount of wins our womens volleyball achieved in all history so far until this ECh, but now I guess we slowly arrived to the end of the fairytale against BLR GER and RUS However the historic qualification for the knockout-round is very close and it´s already one dream achievement for us.

  20. No, double athlete quota obtained in both K1 events will be reallocated to the smaller distance. The pool is only used for athletes which qualified in different boat sizes (K1/K2/K4)

  21. There are two steps in the reallocation. First step: Second step:

  22. That's the point, it's a quota assigned to the athlete that must be accepted or refused by the Japanese NOC in the next couple of weeks (like the open water swimming WCH for example)...if they accept it, there won't be a chance to replace her. I think the best choice for them is to accept only one quota, and then use the Asian Ch. next year as a selection event (and in case no Japanese gets the quota there, they'll use the one reserved to the host)

Ma meni uopste nije krivo. Meni je krivo samo kada se izgubi kvota a budes bas blizu nje. Za ovo stvarno nema sta da mi bude krivo. Sada verovatno i oni navijaju da k4 ne udje u finale hahha

  24. Poland will only get 2 more athlete quotas with Women's K4, not 4, because two of their athletes already got quotas in K2. It's hard to say who will get the quotas with the "doubling-up" reallocation.

Ma sta mene briga sto oni imaju OI medalju. To je proslost, bitna je buducnost. Dosta nasi sportisti zive od stare slave.

  41. I think Hungary is one of the exceptions, because Hungarians equally don't care about men's and women's volleyball, so I doubt that more people would show up in Budapest if we were hosting the Men's ECh, regardless of what the size of the audience will be in the next few days.

  42. Lol yeah aerobic ftw, when Indonesians heard the word "senam" (gymnastics/body exercise), they will most likely explain about a bunch of middle-aged woman on weekends doing aerobics with tacky house music. Sometimes, they will also think about SKJ, the Indonesian adaptation of Japanese radio calisthenics. If it wasn't for Rifda Irfanaluthfi (and Asian Games 2018), most people won't bother to know more about the Olympic disciplines

  44. Prediction Contests Are Just-For-Fun Games You don't need to be an expert to take part in a Prediction Contest. If a mistake penalizes you, always keep in mind that everyone is in good faith. Canoe Sprint ICF World Championships 2019 is now OPEN Good luck! FYI, it's now 04:00 am here and I'm finally done with the start lists. It took around 6 hours to make, but now I can go to bed
