JoshMartini007 2,202 Posted February 20, 2020 #81 Share Posted February 20, 2020 Took a look at the world rankings for these athletes. For the men Ali Alkhadrawi (rank: 164) leads all athletes at with Mohammed Abdulwahhab (rank: 260), Abdulaziz Bu Shulaybi (rank: 266) and Zaid Abo Yaman (rank: 320) being in the top 400. For the women, only 4/11 players have a world ranking. Mariana Sahakian (rank: 372) leads all athletes with the next highest ranked player being Baa Al-Wedian (rank: 475). Should she succeed, this would be Sahakian's second Olympics. Of course with rankings this low (due to lack of activity) anything could happen. dcro 10,179 Posted February 27, 2020 #84 Share Posted February 27, 2020 To be fair here, I think Zaza's qualification says more about the state of table tennis in Western Asia than anything else.
