If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

painful...

but I always remember 2 perfect games (not just no-hit) ruined with just 1 out to go...

the first one by Mike Mussina (at the time with the NY Yankees) @ Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox, the last one by Armando Galarraga of the Detroit Tigers at home against Cleveland (and that one became really in-famous because it was an awful mistake by the 1st base umpire to destroy it)...

What a terrible season for Baltimore Orioles..

They ended the season with a 47-115 record! 115 losses are a new franchise record (modern era) for most losses in one season, and this include the time when they were named St. Louis Browns.

It's also second most losses in MLB history. (Record: Detroit Tigers 43-119 in 2003)

47-115 gives them a winning percentage of 0.290%. This is the lowest W% in Orioles history, and the second lowest in Orioles/Browns history. (Record low W% is 0.279 in 1939 as Browns)

A late inning surge by the Brewers helps them to beat the Cubs in the NL Central tiebreaker 3-1. They will face the winner of the NL wildcard which will be between the Cubs and the Rockies. Speaking of the Rockies, they lost 5-2 to the Dodgers despite a a series of homeruns in the 9th inning. The Dodgers will play the Braves in the first Round.

The playoff matchups are officially set

American League Wildcard:

Oakland Athletics vs. New York Yankees

American League Divisional Series:

New York/Oakland vs. Boston Red Sox

Cleveland Indians vs. Houston Astros

National League Wilcard:

Colorado Rockies vs. Chicago Cubs

National League Divisional Series:

Colorado/Chicago vs. Milwaukee Brewers

Atlanta Braves. Los Angeles Dodgers
