"A search of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) headquarters in Salzburg has reportedly been carried-out by Austria's Federal Criminal Police Office.

This was reported by Austrian broadcaster ORF and newspaper Der Standard, who claimed officials searched several rooms.

They also reported that the investigation was linked to doping allegations.

There is no further information available at this stage."

"The former director of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory and WADA informer, Grigory Rodchenkov, said that the management of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) manipulated biological passports of Russian biathlonists before Sochi-2014. According to him, despite the anomalous indicators of biological passports, the IBU refused to open doping cases against Russian biathletes.

- The biathlon manipulated biological passports, - quotes Rodchenkova NRK . - The system was sabotaged. Russia received secret information from the IBU . The report said that this case should be taken care of. IBU did not begin to understand and investigate abnormal indicators of biopassports of Russians."

"The president of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) Anders Besseberg concealed 65 doping cases involving Russian biathletes, starting in 2011, VG asserts. It is noted that 17 out of 22 Russians who competed last season at the World Cup and IBU Cup have proven cases of doping.

On the eve of Le Monde reported that at the headquarters of the IBU in Salzburg were searched in connection with the  concealment of positive doping samples of Russians . The organization, in turn, noted that the search was conducted by the Austrian Federal Criminal Police in an investigation that focused on the activities of President Besseberg and Secretary General Nicole Resch.
