Awesome, Henk Grol beating long-time rival Lukas Krpalek and winning Grand Slam gold :hyper:

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Grand Slam tournament in :JPN Osaka...and as expected, the hosts swept the rest of the world out badly...

11 of the 14 possible Gold medals in fact went to the Country of the Rising Sun...:yikes:

and 6 of those 11 wins were underlined by an all-Japan Gold Medal match, too (moreover, 4 times Japan won at least 3 medals -Gold/Silver/Bronze- with the icing on the cake of the women's -63kg class, where they won all 4 medals -Gold, Silver and 2x Bronze)...

the remaining 3 Gold medals finally went to :CAN Canada (Jessica Klimkait in the women's -57kg class), :CUB Cuba (Idalys Ortiz in the women's +78kg, where she upset the Japanese Armada made by Sone, Asahina and Inamori) and :NED Netherlands (the already mentioned Henk Grol in the men's +100kg, the only weight class in the entire weekend with no Japanese players in the Gold Medal match)...

oh well looks like another trouble for Mollaei, in World Masters, he will get Sagi Muki (ISR) in 2nd round. I wonder if he will try to beat the Japanese guy in first round or not. because Muki beating the Belgium Casse is 50/50. and they will fight after Mollaei/JPN match :(:wall: now he is world #1 it won't be easy for Mollaei to lose like that again.

it looks that Mollaei decided to not take any risk and lost to the Japanese guy (who however went on to win the Gold Medal)...

p.s. in the following bout, Casse (BEL) beat Muki (ISR)...
