Meanwhile in Talence, Kevin Mayer is well on his way to a 9000+ points decathlon, potentially even a WR. He is breaking PB's left and right and will break the WR with 5.25m PV, 68.15m JT and 4:30 1500m. Especially on the pole vault he can do much better than that.

Cross-country part obviously, not that ridiculous combined endurance event. It would be cool if they used eventing's cross-country course for future Olympic competitions (with obstacles still in place).
