Werloc 3,127 Posted June 16, 2018 #141 Share Posted June 16, 2018 And the second day was not that special. Even though Lithuania collected enough points to win over Latvia and Estonia, there weren't really any European Championship standard results. There was one U18 standard for Greta Karinauskaitė in 1500m. as well as a couple of results that are getting closer to the European Championship standards (110m. Hurdles, 200m., 800m. and 3000 SC men).
Xander 53 Posted June 16, 2018 #142 Share Posted June 16, 2018 (edited) HJ. 16 years old Yaroslava Mahuchikh has just set the new U18 NR and confirmed a standard for Berlin ECH with 1.93. She refused from jumping 1.95. On a side note 14 years old Darya Ozeryanova set the new official PB of 1.79 with a very close attempts at 1.82. So this will be one hell of the National Championship with 5 girls potentially clearing 1.93. Could have been 6 if Yaroslava agreed to take part. ps. 2 weeks ago 18 years old Vasyl Makuh set the new U20 NR & qualified for Berlin in 100m with 10.29. According to my data this is the best result on Ukrainian stadium in a decade at least. Edited June 16, 2018 by Xander

Meanwhile our U18 silver medalist from 2016 is struggling to jump 1.80 for the second year in a row. She went out with 1.79 today in her second start of the season. She has the standard for the U20 champs as she jumped 1.82 in winter, but still her progress completely stopped.

Unofficial competition or (more likely) IAAF being slow If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
