Dunadan 1,103 Posted July 17, 2019 #22 Share Posted July 17, 2019 Good, I hope for surfing in Tahiti, skateboarding in Guadeloupe, breakdancing in French Guiana...so we can forget that they're part of the Olympics. mrv86, Wumo, Vojthas and 6 others 2

The thing is that Tahiti is like one of the pinnacles of surfing, so it would be nice to see an Olympic contest in one of the historic homes of surfing. “Sport has the power to change the world. JoshMartini007 2,201 Posted July 17, 2019 #24 Share Posted July 17, 2019 Mainland France also has surfing spots that are part of the World Surf League so it's likely that it won't be in Tahiti.

NearPup 2,156 Posted July 17, 2019 #26 Share Posted July 17, 2019 (edited) It would honestly be fantastic to have surfing be held in Tahiti, but Biarritz will almost certainly be chosen. Unless they go mad and decide to use a wave pool. Edited July 17, 2019 by NearPup

That would make it seem a little like Paris 1900, where a large number of eventual participants didn't even know they were participating in the Olympics If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Olympian1010 7,470 Posted August 16, 2019 #29 Share Posted August 16, 2019 It’s a bit ambitious, but I’m honestly down to give this event a shot. There are some really cool ideas in video about the event. Based of the description, it would meet my personal requirements for Olympic inclusion. Jur 508 Posted August 16, 2019 #30 Share Posted August 16, 2019 I actually LOVED the idea. It's different to the rest of the sailing events, loved that it runs for three days and it's a large endurance race. I'm really hyped right now! I only had bad reviews about it cause I heard some international sailors trash it, cause aparently it's very expensive (I mean, isn't all sailing expensive?). But it really adds something new to the games. De_Gambassi
