phelps 6,536 Posted September 2, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted September 2, 2017 Shotgun World Championships 2017 Women's Senior Trap, Final Results Gold: ROSSI Jessica (ITA) Silver: SKINNER Catherine (AUS) Bronze: REHAK STEFECEKOVA Zuzana (SVK) 4th: GALVEZ Fatima (ESP) 5th: SALMI Marika (FIN) 6th: CARROLL Ashley (USA) and finally Jessica is back!!! she had 3 very difficult seasons in the last years, but after a flash of light in Rio (unfortunately without winning a medal), now she's back on top of the Trap world... no comment on the tv broadcast, really shameful (but at least a bit better than the junior competition)... and to be honest, I don't like this finals format, too...it's too long, sometimes a bit boring...the real load of adrenaline only comes in the last 15 shots... last year's format was definitley more exciting (even if it was not so fair to the athletes)... Dunadan 1,103 Posted September 2, 2017 #15 Share Posted September 2, 2017 This format for the final is much better than the previous one. At least ISSF got something right.

Tomorrow we're going to have a premiere...the Trap Mixed Team Event... Edited September 3, 2017 by phelps
phelps 6,536 Posted September 4, 2017 Author #20 Share Posted September 4, 2017 at a first look, based on team composition and the first round of preliminaries, Italy didn't take the Mixed Trap event too seriously...probably today there will be room for some other Countries to shine at the end of the day (still, the Rossi/Pellielo pair couldn't agree with that, but they started really bad and it won't be easy for them to comeback and qualify for the semifinal stage)...
