Does someone have all the changes in 2016-2020 world championships medals standings collected in one place? I know there was a stripped medal at 2017 canoeing championships and a few at last year's wrestling championships, but maybe there were more?

2018 Weightlifting World Championships had a lot of stripped medals as well: source

Which medals were stripped at last year's Wrestling World Championships ?

@MHSN Since I guess most of the stripped medals come from Weightlifting and Wrestling, can you please tell me if there were more reallocations during the 2017-2020 quadriennium ? Thanks!

that's a tough question :d

still nothing from 2019, and I posted all changes from 2019 in that post

we had some several positive cases from 2017, some of them very old and you probably knew them already but still

Men's 94kg:

Silver: :LTU Didzbalis ===> :IRI Mousavi

Bronze: :IRI Mousavi ===> :QAT El-Bakh

Women's 69kg:

Silver: :ALB Begaj ===> :USA Rogers

Bronze: :USA Rogers ===> :COL Mendoza

as for wrestling, 2019

Men's freestyle 74kg: bronze :FRA Khadjiev ===> :KAZ Kaisanov

Men's freestyle 124kg: bronze :UZB Khasanov ==> :CHN Deng

* we also heard news about silver medalist Jenny Franson failing the test but still no confirmation from UWW

no case in 2018 but one in 2017

Men's Greco-Roman 75kg;

Silver: :RUS Chekhirkin ===> :HUN Lorincz

Bronze: :HUN Lorincz ===> :TUR Cengiz

  • Medals obtained by Nations only in Olympic Events, considering only the Latest World Championships for each Sport.

  • When a new World Championships is held, previous World Championships' medals will be removed from this Medal Count and replaced by the new set of World Championship medals for these events.

  • Medals obtained by Nations without a recognized Olympic Committee (Scotland, Faroe Islands, etc.) will be assigned to the Nation for which they will compete for at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games (if Scotland wins a medal in Men's Boxing AIBA World Championships, then that medal will be assigned to Great Britain, if Faroe Islands wins a medal in Swimming FINA World Championships then that medal will be assigned to Denmark etc.)

  • Some World Championships allow Athletes from different Nations to compete as a Pair or Doubles Team. This is not possible at the Olympic Games, so in case a mixed team win a World Championships medal, that medal will be awarded to both Nation.

  • Some sports do not have a proper World Championship and some events have a World Championship format which is different to the Olympic format. In order to consider every single Olympic event in the Medal Count, the World Championships medals for these events will be awarded according to different formats, listed in detail year by year.

Once again, we :FRA are doing a lot less than what the last world championsips could have let us believe....

The count is not really updated though? There have been lots of world championships since March 2020 which replaced previous WChs.

Just looking at golds for example, ITA is missing Ganna's, FRA Alaphilippe's but should also have lost one in modern pentathlon, sailing, a couple in judo, maybe tennis?
