more simple probably for the fans to understand

I doubt that. Now you have to remember who lifted which weight first instead of just looking at the body weight that's mentioned everywhere anyway :p

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Oh right, I remember now. How does that make anything more fair?

It's not, absolutely idiotic. Two guys lift the same weight, with the same attempts, but the one that is first in the start list wins the gold, while the other gets silver, even though they have done the same thing.  Things get more and more absurd...

I do get this rule for the heavy categories dcro mentioned, where you've got 150kg monsters competing with 106kg people for example. For the rest it's just stupid and, indeed, absolutely idiotic.

Tough categorie, at least we got one bronze in the C&J, though of course i wished it was in the overall, but our guys were too far after the snatch. Grozdev is only 18, he sets a good marker for the future. The cyrpiot was a surpise for me, almost clinched a big medal.
