VolleyRuller96 264 Posted May 10, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2017 Swedish men claim two straight wins over Hungary en route to World Champs qualifier Örebro, Sweden, May 8, 2017. The Swedish men’s national team is currently preparing for the upcoming qualification round to the 2018 FIVB Volleyball World Championship. On Friday evening, the Swedes took on Hungary in a friendly match, which the hosts eventually claimed by 3-0 in front of an ecstatic home crowd. Team captain Erik Sundberg received the award for the Most Valuable Player of the match after putting up an impressive performance, blocking down his opponents and unleashing some devastating spikes. “I am pleased with our performance. This is something we can build on. I am especially happy that we were able to put up such a show at home in front of our fans and the coming generations of Swedish Volleyball players,” Sweden head coach Johan Isacsson said after the match. The friendly, which represented the opening ceremony of the so-called Mikasa Challenge, Sweden’s largest Volleyball youth tournament, gathered a crowd of about 1,800, thereby creating a fantastic atmosphere in the fully packed Idrottshuset arena in Örebro. The two national teams challenged each other again Sunday late afternoon in Linköping, and this resulted in another 3-0 victory for the Swedes. Since last weekend, the Swedish team has been in a training camp, working on the team spirit, going through tactics and studying the upcoming opponents. Coach Isacsson is satisfied with what the team has shown since his players have come together: “I believe in this team. We have a lot of interesting players with great potential and character.” My favourite Volleyball position: LIBERO. You ask why? VolleyRuller96 264 Posted May 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 23, 2017 No official broadcasters for most of the qualifying matches in the internet Oh, CEV... why is it, that almost every basketball competition, even Junior Continental Cup, gets uploaded on FIBA's official channel in quality similar to standard TV broadcast, while in volleyball either there is no broadcast, or the quality is crappy with just one camera placed so noone can see anything and streamed on some unknown websites like laola1 instead of youtube? However all games of FIVB women's world championship qualifiers in Warsaw will be broadcast by our channel Polsat Sport, so if there is anybody interested, and doesn't mind constant commercials here is working stream. http://mytvlive.me/polsat-sport-online-stream-polsat-sport-hd-telewizja-za-darmo-na-zywo/ First match to be played at 15:30 today. (Czech Republic vs Slovakia) followed by other matches at 18:00 at 20:30 and this schedule will continue for the rest of the competition with the exception of 26 may where no matches will be played My favourite Volleyball position: LIBERO.
