For the first time in the history of the Totallympics song contests, the Maltese local jury has voted for a song in our own language.

The Travellers - Xemx u xita

Lyrics

Dawl, fil-kamra ġej mill-musbieħ,

id-dinja taħrab għal għonq it-triq,

U x-xemx torqod fejn ma jidhirx,

fuq xtajta oħra, biex tikxef l-art mis-silġ.

X'ħin terġa' lura fejn is-smewwiet,

nara pittura li kienet inħbiet,

U int kont fejni naraw flimkien,

minn wara t-tieqa rajna dinja mill-bidu bdiet.

Fix-xemx, fix-xita, fil-bard u n-nida

Fix-xemx, fix-xita fil-bard u n-nida

Fjura tikber minn bejn l-irmied,

il-qamar waqa' u sar biċċiet.

Fejn tħoss il-qalb dejjem hemm l-uġieh,

li tara l-għajn huwa biss it-tmiem.

Fix-xemx, fix-xita, fil-bard u n-nida

Fix-xemx, fix-xita fil-bard u n-nida

Lyrics (in English)

Light, in the room comes from a lamp,

the world escaping along the road,

And the sun sleep where it cannot be seen,

on another beach, to uncover land from the ice.

When you return where the skies are,

I see a painting that was hidden,

And you where near me, seeing together,

Behind the window we saw a world, from the beginning started.

In the sun, in the rain, in the cold and in the dew

In the sun, in the rain in the cold and in the dew

Flower growing between the ashes,

the moon fell and became pieces.

Where the heart hurts, it is always painful,

What the eye see is just the end.

In the sun, in the rain, in the cold and in the dew

In the sun, in the rain in the cold and in the dew

:BRA BRAZIL :BRA

The song chosen was a hit on brazilian radio last year and was developed by the partnership between two Brazilians and a third one that has American-Brazilian nationality (Zeeba). The Brazilian market is often resistant to national singers singing in different languages, but this song has managed to break down some barriers, with relative success in countries like Finland, Sweden and Norway. Hope you like it.

Alok, Bruno Martini feat. Zeeba - Hear Me Now

Lyrics

Hear me now

If you get to hear me now
I know you'll get stronger
When you get older
Just don't shrug your shoulders
When you get older

The things aren't easy
So just believe me now
If you don't keep it cool now
You'll never make a sound

All the lights will guide the way
If you get to hear me now
All you fears will fade away
If you get to hear me now

If you get to hear me now

Leave excuses aside
Speak out your mind now
Don't let in slide
You're not always right now

The things aren't easy
So just believe me now
Don't learn the hard way
Just let me show you how

All the lights will guide the way
If you get to hear me now
All you fears will fade away
If you get to hear me now
If you get to hear me now

The German jury is really struggling in deciding which song to nominate :mumble:

@OlympicsFan

If we dont agree on a song, we could just nominate two songs, one for each of us. :yes

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

That would be great

But I fearfear the rules don't permit that :(

So you are saying that if we dont agree on a song, then Germany wont be able to participate ... ? Or will the user who entered the contest first (me) be allowed to pick the song? :mumble:

You are allowed to pick a song in that case :)
