231kg for a barely 17-year old in 69kg isn't bad neither, would have been a decent Olympic top-7 :d

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

I wrote 231 by accident, deleted it to write the correct number and still did it wrong apparently :d

Yeah I've been hearing his name for quite some time now, looks like that guy's the real deal.

Mexico could perform well here; however our team has had some issues regarding athlete selection including the return Carolina Valencia, who has been sanctioned for doping in the past.

Chinese weightlifters Chunhong Liu and Lei Cao have lost appeals at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) after they were stripped of Olympic gold medals at Beijing 2008 following positive drugs tests. Liu had won the 69 kilograms class at Beijing 2008 which, at the time, made her the first-ever woman to defend her Olympic title in weightlifting and Cao had won the Olympic gold medal in the women's under 75 kg weightlifting division at Beijing 2008.

The gold medals won by Liu and Cao are now set to be inherited by Russia's Oksana Slivenko and Kazakhstan's Alla Vazhenina, although the IOC has yet to confirm this, here the current virtual podium:

Women's 69kg

:RUS Silvienko

:COL Solis

:EGY Abdelrahman

Women's 75kg

:KAZ Vazhenina
:ESP Valentin

:MEX Auguirre
