So sorry to hear that ?...... I think this is the nightmare for all people who have family members in the medical profession...... I have a brother who is a doctor who is having a compromised immune system due to kidney disease and other cousins who are general practitioners........ It is so terrible to hear about your mothers hospital hope she is covid negative......

My sister is most likely healthy enough to fight through it, if she'd show any more than mild symptoms at all. It's her boyfriend who's the one to worry about there..

Plus the Brazilian government might be calling in everyone who's finished a study in physical education soon, so we might have another Totallympian joining in the 'fight'..

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

There is no way on earth that is 1,5-2 meters, not even a half meter...

Could you be so kind to translate 'social distancing' and 'keep your distance' in Slovak for these people who don't seem to get it? :p

Good to hear that things are under control.

My fear (and I see that some experts are slightly worried about the same) is whether we've managed to contain it a bit too well, meaning that the risk of a major spread when we start opening up again could end up making more damage.

Yeah this is a big fear among experts: the tighter the precautions are in a country, the bigger the risk could be for a strong second wave once it starts being lifted..

here we go...just a few days where the numbers seem to slow down (not even stopping or decreasing, just growing slower than earlier) and in Italy all the economical, political and religious lobbies are going to put enormous pressure on the government to lift the lockdown after April 13th (the end date for the current lockdown)... :wall:

Yeah sadly that´s not very a thing among our authorities, as you can see in the first minutes of this video

This really is a pretty good example of how everyone is doing their own thing basically. I mean, Slovakia has some of the tighest precautions everywhere, but the number one thing isn't being followed by the leaders. Whereas other countries do follow that, but don't have other precautions. Interesting to look at, in some way.
