uk12points 434 Posted August 2, 2016 #470 Share Posted August 2, 2016 According to multiple news reports only 55 of 366 British athletes will attend the Opening Ceremony parade of nations, citing winning Olympic gold as more important than attending the opening ceremony. Also, the opening ceremony stadium is not located near the athletes village, so a long journey there and back coupled with lots of waiting around and competition over the next couple of days is a reasonable excuse for not attending.
