Winter sport, of course :p

Yeah even the International Deaf Sports Committee wasn’t sure about that. That’s why they downgraded it to a demonstration sport. To be fair, Chess can be played anytime of the year.

It looks there will be livestreaming!!! They tried to livestream the first Curling draw, but ran into some technical issues, hopefully they’re able to figure it out within the next hour, so we can watch a match or two.

Not the best livestream, but it’s better than nothing. They’re still working out some broadcast issues.

Okay update on the streaming situation courtesy of the organizing committee. Tomorrow the broadcasts should be a full strength with graphics and what not. They also gave us an update on which sports will be shown live.

Sports Shown Live: Curling, Ice Hockey, Ceremonies

Sports Shown Delayed (probably meaning short/long length highlights): Alpine Skiing, Chess, Cross Country Skiing, and Snowboarding

Hey, I know the guys from :POL curling team - last month we beat them 8:5 in the league :) Keeping fingers crossed they'll do well at the Deaflympics, they're really good.

There one of the medal favorites after the first 3 draws. They beat Japan 8-5, and then beat the hosts (Italy) 12-3. They play China tomorrow evening. I don’t think that sheet will be the televised game though.
