The what?

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

I did more of a “excuse me?”, followed by “the hell is that!”

Oh, I’ve actually seen this sport before and watched some matches at a world championships. Yes, I remember thinking what the hell is this then. It’s a big deal in schools (not in American, but in Japan I think)

A quick Youtube tutorial shows a  group meeting in the centre which result into a player punching the ball, then the opposing players have to prevent it hitting the ground.

Yes it’s essentially a big game of “keepie-uppie”. Points are scored when a team is not able to keep the ball in the air. I forgot the rules of the court boundaries, but I’m actually a bit familiar with this sport.

It looks very Japanese indeed. I'm only missing the part where suddenly some machine throws a whole bunch of slime in the face of a random participant who then has to eat some sort of bug and pass it on to the next one.
