Wow how many places did Fak gain with that last clear shoot? Must have been about 20.

Gonna lose a few on the track again, though. EDIT: Managed to hold them all off. Well done.

No Boe, Fourcade wins. So predictable.

Other Boe was terrible.

Fourcade opening the bindings of both Peiffer and Desthieux who were face down in the snow. One of the big things I like about biathlon and cross-country skiing, athletes who are back on their feet who open the bindings of some (sometimes random) other athlete who's still lying in the snow, catching their breath.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

- Dahlmeier's top level debut, bringing Germany from 8th to 1st in the world championships relay

- Häcki vs Öberg at the 2016 junior world championships

- The 2016 Youth Olympics single mixed relay, China beating Norway

- Lowell Bailey's world title

This win is going on my list of all-time favourite biathlon moments.

That sir, is a great list. Those last two

That mirrors one of my favorite things about Cross Country (running). You could have an epic battle with someone to the finish, but despite losing/winning the mutual respect for the fight is a great feeling. Plus, I was always willing to drop everything for another runner in big trouble because I knew what they’d gone through, and it’d suck if there was not a single person willing to support them.

:GER German team for Ruhpolding:

A couple of changes from last week's World Cup in Oberhof. Preuss is back after illness and Horchler is back after some stages in the IBU Cup. They replace Deigentesch and Hildebrand who are send to the IBU Cup.

After some good results in the IBU Cup, Nawrath and Rees get the chance this week in Ruhpolding. They will replace Fratzscher and Schempp. Schmepp has shown a lack of speed in the recent races, so he will focus on training in the next weeks. He may be back for Pokljuka, but this is not certain. Fratzscher will be back in the IBU Cup.

Women:

Maren Hammerschmidt

Denise Herrmann

Janina Hettich

Vanessa Hinz

Karolin Horchler

Franziska Preuss

Men:

Benedikt Doll

Philipp Horn

Johannes Kuehn

Philipp Nawrath

Arnd Peiffer

Roman Rees

His 27th in the Mass Start while only missing 2 targets is clear indication that something is off.

Rupholding with a Sprint, Relay and Pursuit.  Should be fun.   As expected Forcade with the two wins moved above JT Boe.  It will be interesting to see if he can get far enough ahead, and do well enough when he comes back to win again.

Again I'm strongly disappointed that Germany couldn't offer a full H... team
