Hello everyone!

Glad to be back on the forums. For those of you who were not following the Facebook group, I leave you a link to the results of the 2016 World Cup, which served as the last Olympic qualification event for this discipline.
Results book

According to qualification rules, only those athletes qualifying for the semifinals in this competition achieved a place for their NOC in the corresponding event. For a summary of quotas obtained so far you can check Wikipedia's page on the subject.

The current situation there are 7 spots left in men's springboard, 9 in men's platform, 12 in women's springboard and 10 in women's plaform. Keep in mind that assignation of those will only be confirmed by FINA after all qualified NOC's qualified confirm the definitive number of athletes that will take part, respecting the maximum number of 68 athletes per gender rule.

We have a solid chance to qualify in women's springboard, what would be great. Marcela Marić is 9th best diver that didn't get into semis. South Africa is in front of her and we can already discount them as their selection document very clearly says that any reallocated quotas will not be accepted. Similar could happen with New Zealand who is also just in front of Marcela. So, she is basically 7th or 8th in line (at least).

As for the Netherlands, Inge Janssen still has 3 competitions in which she has to score 305 points at least twice. If not, she's not going to Rio.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Do you know how will the Dutch divers be able to earn their selection for the Games? I've just remembered before that not a single diver has been selected to the Dutch team in London 2012.

- Top-12 2015 WCh

- Winning 2015 ECh

- At the 2016 World Cup, according to international standards, but with an extra standard: 3 times 425 points (men)/305 points (women) in one of 6 specifically named competitions.

So who's eligible to compete at the Games thus far for the Netherlands? And I'm feeling too lazy to check on the rankings and results of each diver.

Uschi Freitag will go to Rio, Inge Janssen will only go if she gets 305 points in 2 of her remaining 3 competitions.
