karate?

Yes, but we won't know who gets it until after the world rankings are published and the qualification tournament has concluded, but basically one man and one woman will qualify to the Olympics from the European Games with priority going to the gold medalist with the highest world ranking.

That's what happens when you only have 10 athletes per event, but still want to guarantee continental representation. Combat sports should have a minimum of 16 athletes per event.

And the other thing is that most federations creates as much ununderstandable systems as possible, so that they were the only ones to really know, who is qualified.

It's not too bad. The bigger problem is when they change the rules because what they wrote and what they meant were two different things.

This is wrong and outdated

Archery: qualification is not based on ranking;

Boxing: we don't know anything;

Canoe sprint: EG are not part of the qualification system;

Karate: EG are not valid for the ranking, see posts above.

In archery the gold medalists in the Mixed Team Recurve qualify, I believe the Canoe Sprint part is true, and believe Karate is the same as the Pan Am Games (highest ranked gold medalist qualifies).

The only continental qualification event for Europe in Canoe Sprint is the one in Poznań in May 2020. Besides, the dates for the qualification events in the document you can find in this thread's first post start with August 2019 so nothing before World Champs in Szeged counts.

Right, but I think the ECU confirmed the split last year. I think the individual events will be here, and the other events in Poznan.
