Nonaka missing out on the final due to a tiny slip at the very end If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! OlympicsFan 776 Posted August 20, 2019 #224 Share Posted August 20, 2019 I hope that Megos won't blow another huge opportunity. Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
MHSN 3,047 Posted August 20, 2019 #225 Share Posted August 20, 2019 looks like this format gives something to cheer about to Speed specialists. they can be happy but not too much ! you can't win a medal by winning the speed and finishing last in two other events but you can still qualify for the Olympics and have a respectable place. That's why they are trying to have sprint be its own event in 2024 and only have a combined lead/bouldering
heywoodu 13,499 Posted August 20, 2019 #227 Share Posted August 20, 2019 Wow, following Nonaka during the lead was a nailbiter She was behind Mori at some point, but then Garnbret topped faster than Mori, meaning they both fell back a position, which had a much larger influence on Mori's score...making Nonaka pass her. Noguchi putting herself in between them put Mori back in front of Nonaka...Coxsey saved the day for Nonaka. I did feel a bit for her when everyone else failed to even get a zone on that last one and then she had to close it up and she looked like "what on earth am I supposed to do here?" Like I've said before, speed climbers doing boulder and lead reminds me of sprinters doing a 10k in speed skating Edited August 21, 2019 by heywoodu If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
