I watched lots of matches today. so if you ask me you will win something like 2 bronze medals tomorrow, 55kg and maybe 48 or 65. I don't think there is a chance for your heavier wrestlers, maybe very slim chance for 85. the 48kg was almost in the final but lost it in the last seconds (there were some dubious calls in the match though) and repechage won't be easier for him because of Azerbaijan. I was expecting gold for your 55kg after beating Russia. but well that Uzbek kid was too good. (he is YOG gold medalist) Dolby
MHSN 3,148 Posted July 30, 2019 #12 Share Posted July 30, 2019 Second day semifinalists 45kg: vs / vs 51kg: vs / vs 60kg: vs / vs 71kg: vs / vs 92kg: vs / vs Iran and Russia both have 4 wrestlers in the semifinal, it will be close for the team title. I think we will have finalist in 71kg and 92kg , but the other two matches against Azerbaijan will be hard. our 71kg wrestler should be careful because if he loses to Romania there is 50% chance for him to face Israel for the bronze . MHSN 3,148 Posted July 30, 2019 #13 Share Posted July 30, 2019 2nd day finals 45kg: Mc Gowan vs Arab 51kg: Khaniev vs Akhmajanov 60kg: Elahi vs Abdulaev 71kg: Biro vs Tigiev 92kg: Karimov vs Yousefi --------------------------------------------- medalists 2nd day 48kg: 1) Amouzad, 2) Kadamov, 3) Nishiuchi & Udit 55kg: 1) Jalolov, 2) Veisi, 3) Suganuma & Aman 65kg: 1) Gadzhiev, 2) Tskhovrebov, 3) Kera & Goswami 80kg: 1) Firouzpour, 2) Bagaev, 3) Magamadov & Sahaliuk 110kg: 1) Zasseev, 2) Chikhradze, 3) Misirci & Anirudh bittersweet day for Iran, Firouzpour winning 80kg gold was the best moment of the day, but then Veisi lost the gold in a last second dubious challenge. Habibi lost the bronze to the same guy he beat easily 10-0 few weeks ago in Asia was unbelievable. at the end of the day India ended up winning more medals than anybody else ! and the race for the team title will continue tomorrow. Iran has a small lead after the first medal day but Russia will have 4 in the final tomorrow. but their other wrestler is eliminated while 2 other Iranians still can wrestle for the bronze. even though Valipour only has to pray for Sweden to beat Israel in repechage. even though he deserves nothing after losing to Romania like that. he had a dream draw but blew it. MHSN 3,148 Posted July 31, 2019 #15 Share Posted July 31, 2019 medalists 3rd day 45kg: 1) McGowan, 2) Arab, 3) Ozbek & Hagverdiyev 51kg: 1) Khaniev, 2) Akhmajanov, 3) Maruyama & Abramov 60kg: 1) Abdulaev, 2) Elahi, 3) Aoyagi & Tashohlo 71kg: 1) Tigiev, 2) Biro, 3) Valipour & Facundo 92kg: 1) Yousefi, 2) Karimov, 3) Tazhi & Gevorgyan Iran lost the team title to Russia in a very stupid way, our 51kg wrestler got disqualified after losing the bronze medal match mostly because he was crying and wasn't listening to the center referee, at the end he came to the mat, shaking hands and etc but still they disqualified him. which was stupid. his 5th place was enough for Iran to win the team title. beside that, we lost 3 matches today despite having the lead in last 10-20 seconds, only one of them could be enough. here is the team ranking 1. Russia 168 2. Iran 166 3. India

MHSN 3,148 Posted August 2, 2019 #18 Share Posted August 2, 2019 First day Greco-Roman semifinalists 48kg: vs / vs 55kg : vs / vs 65kg : vs / vs 80kg: vs / vs 110kg: vs / vs like freestyle days Iran brought exactly 4 wrestlers to the semifinals. which is more impressive because Greco is more competitive around the world. 3 of them had Russia in QF , we lost just once and that was 6-0 (almost 8-0) lead but the Iranian kid gassed badly in 2nd period and lost 14-6. interestingly there is only one Russian wrestler here.
