Olympian1010 7,418 Posted October 15, 2019 #1071 Share Posted October 15, 2019 Here come them tripartite and universality places. I can already see Bach making love to the Tongan flag in the new IOC House “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. EselTheDonkey 622 Posted October 16, 2019 #1074 Share Posted October 16, 2019 Generelly speaking, I think that's a sensible idea. But it's not like Marathon and Race Walking are the only endurance diciplines at the Olympics. What about Cycling, Triathlon, Eventing or even some Athletics disciplines in the Stadium? Anyone who already bought tickets to those events is furious. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 7,418 Posted October 16, 2019 #1076 Share Posted October 16, 2019 Some one just pointed out that Sapporo will become the first city to host both the summer and Winter Olympics. This means that Beijing won’t get that title, and I’m completely okay with this now. intoronto 1 “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. dcro 10,172 Posted October 17, 2019 #1078 Share Posted October 17, 2019 Yeah, I don't think IOC could change a venue just like that. Marathons are supposed to be a big deal, especially in Japan. It is/was scheduled to be the first marathon with a finish in the Olympic stadium since 2008. #banbestmen

That's interesting... Only Wikipedia seems to point out that the equestriam events were held in Karuizawa? Equestrian articles mainly suggest that the venue was Baji Koen, which will also play host in 2020. #banbestmen
