A really great day for these young Dutch women, with Alida aged 17 and n'Ketia 16. Impressive display by the Italian sprinters too. Congrats, both are young enough to compete at the U20 world championships next year. Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached. Jinzha 529 Posted July 20, 2019 #23 Share Posted July 20, 2019 Aww, Sedney barely missed the 200M finals. She's only 17 and it's her first tournament since a hamstring injury as well, so her chances will hopefully come still! Sven Jansons is going strong in the decathlon, might be a medal contender! Would be surprise to me. I thought the slightly older Rafael Raap and Rudy de Wolff were the more talented Dutch decathletes.

OlympicIRL 4,769 Posted July 20, 2019 #27 Share Posted July 20, 2019 (edited) Sexton completely blew it. And he won't get a chance to rectify it as he is moving to a rugby career after these championships. Edited July 20, 2019 by OlympicIRL
Jinzha 529 Posted July 20, 2019 #28 Share Posted July 20, 2019 Gold for Onyema Adigida in the 200m (M)! And silver for Robin van Riel in the 3000m (M), with his younger brother in 5th place! Already a better result for the Dutch than the U23 tournament, with more than a full day to go. Exciting!
