Nibali let him make time, like a second rate rider and paid no attention to him at all, because he was obsessed with Roglic. If he had a tighter control, Carapaz would still be behind him in the GC, as he made virtually no time, when Nibali started competing against him and not Roglic. Still Carapaz hasn't faded (so far), as one would have predicted last week, so props to him.
