heywoodu 13,547 Posted March 19, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2019 Jeffrey Herlings has destroyed his foot before the first MXGP of the season and has basically already said he's not fighting for the world title anymore, handing a free title to Cairoli. Dunadan 1,103 Posted March 19, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2019 It would be the 2nd time in 3 seasons that Herlings can't win the title because he injures himself. And in 2018 he was lucky that his annual dumb crash caused him to skip only 1 GP. That's the difference between him and a great champion like Cairoli. phelps 6,852 Posted March 19, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2019 I read somewhere that he could well take a bye for the entire european/world season, going to race later in the year in the US outdoor championship, once he recovers from the foot injury...
