A Country to see

Located between North and Central America, Mexico is a country, where many of the World's climate and ecosystems converge. Blessed with a rich biodiversity, amazing landscapes and rich seas, our human element could do nothing to add color and life to such a diverse place.

Nature's Symphony

As we have told you, for centuries, Mexican people have been inspired by the beautiful scenarios they live in. That sentiment has been expressed by the song "Huapango" composed by Tapatío born, José Pablo Moncayo. Inspired by the popular music of rural peoples and with the vivid nature all over Mexico, he fused both, human culture and Earth's natural beauty.

An Ode to our ancestors

Each delegation participating in 2019 TAISC is now member of ten teams. Each of these bear the name of one of our indigenous peoples, which are close to 62 different ethnic groups, all descending from the first people that inhabited the American continent.

Currently, Mexicans are rediscovering those roots with the past, in an effort to show respect to our ancestors traditions and veneration for this land and its occupants. An example of this is the "Danza del Venado" which has been performed for centuries by the tribes in the lands close to the Gulf of California.

The World's melting pot

Since the Spanish conquest, people from other countries have immigrated to Mexico. Bringing with them their own culture and folklore, they have made us what we are today, a society that identifies itself as "Mestiza", the product of many and different legacies, from which it has learned and built itself as a new one.

This has not been better shown that in the different rhythms, like La Bamba, one of the most known songs of the country, that has its origin in the African and Spanish dances that were practised alonside in the Gulf state of Veracruz, along other forms of "Sones Jarochos"

In rather recent times, immigration to the Northern states from European and U.S. settlers in the late XIXth and XXth centuries influenced music in those regions, with diverse styles such as "corridos" and "polkas", which are still popular today and have given birth to modern "banda", "norteño" and "grupero" music.

Each town, a world of its own.

A country as large cannot be discovered in just one day. That's a fact that participants have discovered on itw own, being dispersed among 37 of the countries 121 "Magical Towns", places that have preserved the essence of their history and popular customs.

The same Sun.

After their short, albeit interesting stay in their respective Magical Towns, we welcome each of the participating to this Grand Final, not as just visitors, but as siblings who are united by the same values and spirit, waking every day to the light of the same sun.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, international singer Alejandro Fernández, singing "El mismo sol"
