Dmitry 92 Posted January 26, 2019 #11 Share Posted January 26, 2019 (edited) 6:4 9:0 This year two teams from pool 1 will go straight to the semifinals. So these results at the group stage can be a little more important than usual. Edited January 26, 2019 by Dmitry
Dmitry 92 Posted January 27, 2019 #12 Share Posted January 27, 2019 6:3 10:13 It's hard to remember when both teams scored 10 or more goals in one game at the World Championship

thiago_simoes 1,359 Posted January 31, 2019 #16 Share Posted January 31, 2019 So, more of the same: Finland, Russia, Kazakhstan and Sweden as the semifinalists. What a surprise. Yay.
De_Gambassi 896 Posted January 31, 2019 #17 Share Posted January 31, 2019 I don't really understand why every team sports under the sunlight should have a world cup. Many sports are clearly not international spread enough to warrant one. It should be ok not to have a world cup. This is not helping anyone. Just have yearly test series between the few countries who can actually play the sport, and a developpement world cup for the rest of the field. This isn’t a World Cup for starters and it’s the only major international bandy competition, so it’s definitely important and necessary “Sport has the power to change the world. It's a very short view to believe that every team sport should have a world cup/championship just because the major team sports have one. Something makes sense or doesn't. This doesn't. There is nothing necessary about this world championship. Not having a world cup/championship doesn't mean either you are cutting the sport from international matches. There are other ways. Take rugby union for most of this life as an exemple.

Take rugby union for most of this life as an exemple. For me every international should have a World Championships (maybe not every year). I don’t care if there are only 5 countries that play that sport, it better have a World Championships. Rugby Union is a joke, to me only Rugby Sevens matters. Every team sport should have a World Championships, so there’s a reason to represent your nation. This World Championship is necessary to raise the funds for the FIB to stay internationally important. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire.
