The government will not support the athletes in any way is what I heard. I think they’re allowed to pay for they’re own travel if they wish. “Sport has the power to change the world. Olympian1010 7,418 Posted February 23, 2019 #16 Share Posted February 23, 2019 There will be live events on the platform livestream like the previous Summer Universiade. The organizing committee has not published the list of entries yet, but the games are a week away, so I expect to see one soon. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 7,418 Posted February 23, 2019 #17 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Only 14 countries entered the Biathlon competitions, with only 74 athletes. We’re missing the likes of Kazakhstan, USA, Germany, Bulgaria, Australia, Romania, and the Baltic Nations. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. The website says “At the moment, 77 athletes were accredited. Biathletes from 14 countries are coming to the Games: Belarus, Hungary, Canada, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Japan.” There are some good biathletes against them too. A lot of IBU Cup people, and even some World Cup athletes apparently. heywoodu and RobtheAggie 2 “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 7,418 Posted February 23, 2019 #20 Share Posted February 23, 2019 I think there would be more countries competing if the Open European Championships weren’t so close to the competition days. We’d probably see the likes of Mongolia (because it’s probably the closet Biathlon center to them), Romania, Kazakhstan, etc. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire.
