Surprise! Denise Betsema (cyclocross) has tested positive for anabolic steroids

In her late twenties, came from pretty much nowhere to being a force in the top of the world this season (a World Cup win, 14 other wins during the season!). Nobody saw that coming :p

Adding Samuel Schwarz, Robert Lehmann and Alexej Baumgärtner. All rather unimpressive, so that would mostly be a case of 'oh, ok'.

More than 400 doping controls has been provided by the Slovak Antidoping Agency last year. They announced it during todays annual SVK Anti-Doping Agency press conference.

In total our Anti-doping agency performed 318 Urine tests (154 of them in-competitions and 164 out-of-competition) and 114 Blood tests.

The most tested :SVKathlete was as usual Peter Sagan who was tested 26 times last year (20 in-competition and 6 out-of-competition) followed by Anastasiya Kuzmina who was tested last year 18 times (8 in-competition and 10 out-of-competition tests), followed by Paulína Fialková and Petra Vlhová (8 times)

The most tests last year were taken n Athletics (43) followed by Canoeing Sprint (29) and Bodybuilding (24)

Among team sports it was Ice Hockey as usual (19) followed by Handball (18) and Basketball (17)

Apparently 9 cases had to be investigated (All in bodybuilding and powerlifting lol)
