OMG I can't believe it :yikes: It's a miracle for Mexican fencing!!

Julian Ayala in men's sabre and Nataly Michel in women's foil are going to the Olympic Games... Wow, they really take that last chance. Although I feel bad for the Argentinian fencers, they were very unlucky :(

I do not expect much from the epee competitors (the weakest weapon for the national team) but I'll keep my fingers crossed,

Congratulations for both qualified and thanks for the message, this is an incredible bad day for our fencing.

European qualification start today, here are the results and the schedule:

I will cheer for the following athletes:

Mens epee: Pereira and especially Freilich

Mens sabre: Voronov

Womens foil: Dont care

Womens epee: Heidemann!

Womens sabre: Mikina and Limbach

Mens foil: Dosa!

Heidemann is probably the biggest name at this tournament, it would be a shock if she would miss Rio.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

What is Bas Verwijlen's event and how's he doing?

Edit: I just remembered he already qualified :p

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!
