heywoodu 13,540 Posted January 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2019 So, Manny Pacquiao beat Adrian Broner last weekend. Broner was absolutely furious at the judges, even though to be fair Pacquiao kinda dominated him and nearly had him down more than once. Badou Jack was destroyed by Browne, it's a miracle he stayed on his feet until the end. Kovalev easily won the bout on points (unanimous decision, 2 judges with 4-point margin, the 3rd one, who clearly saw another fight, with a crazy 120-108 score for the Russian)... Commey destroyed in only 2 rounds (actually, less than 2 rounds) his opponent...and he's probably earned a chance to take a boxing lesson by Vasyl Lomachenko next time round... but the top of the night happened just after Valdez finished to demolish Tommasone (TKO in 7, the Italian went to the floor 4 times...and he wanted to have more, as he was definitely unhappy about the ref stopping the fight in the seventh round)... in fact, probably while under the effect of the hevy shots taken from the Mexican, Tommasone after the match went down to his knee and with the traditional ring in his hands asked her fiancèe if she wanted to get married with him... and for the joy of all those who like romance and happy endings (hey, don't look for hidden meanings ), she said "YES!"... p.s. I've always said that boxing is a really dangerous sport... Edited February 3, 2019 by phelps

There will 350 athletes from 42 nations, with only Cuba and Ireland not participating. This year must be one of the hardest, since i started following the cup. It will be great if we have 1-2 champions this time around.
