Nike is a brand more than money making machine. I predict they will weather the China storm and just keep doing their job once the media storm calms down. After all, USA is one country where Nike doesn't manufacture their products at all. Everything is manufactured outside of the country - in like 40+ countries including China, Thailand and Sri Lanka etc. This is reality. heywoodu 13,555 Posted October 12, 2019 #483 Share Posted October 12, 2019 Meh. On one hand it's cool someone ran under two hours and Kipchoge seems like a nice guy, on the other hand it would have been so much better if it had been during a regular marathon. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! But let’s not undersell the achievement. I mean he still had to run the marathon. The conditions definitely helped, but it’s still highly impressive. “Sport has the power to change the world. phelps 6,860 Posted October 13, 2019 #486 Share Posted October 13, 2019 (edited) Brigid Kosgei just won the women's race at the Chicago Marathon in 2h14mins04secs, which is the new women's Marathon World Record (and this is a real record, not the farce of the sub-2 hours by Eliud Kipchoge yesterday in Vienna, made with laser guidance and 37 pace makers running only just over a kilometer each)...
