7,28 seconds for 15-year old N'Ketia Seedo at the Dutch indoor champs today, giving her 3rd behind Schippers and Samuel :yikes:

That's the world's fastest junior time this year and one of the fastest in the world in at least the last ten years.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

I'll take a wild guess she's another import from :SUR or :ARU:raspberry:

Can't find it anywhere :p All mentions of her (also from before this weekend) call her 'the talented girl from Utrecht' and things like that :p

looking at her photos (and listening to her name), she definitely has Caribbean heritage...

but...from the very few info available on the net, she does live in the Netherlands and she's been living there since many years (at least before she turned 7 years young), because she said she' been training in the Netherlands (Utrecht) with Juul Acton (who should be a quite famous Dutch coach) since that age...

so, she might even have Caribbean genes, but technically she's definitely a "Dutch athletic school" product (if someone can talk of "products" for people and especially for people of that age)...

Well yeah, that was clear to me too :p I mean, she's no Ruth Jebet :d

"That's the world's fastest junior time this year and one of the fastest in the world in at least the last ten years."

Of course we have to take into consideration that in the US/Jamaica indoor athletics is almost non-existant.

Seedo has been known as a huge talent for at least 1 year now. Outdoors is a completely different story of course, but it will be interesting to see what she will do in the summer. 11.40 - 11.50 seems possible. Candace Hill ran 10.98 as a 16 year old in 2015 and Jodie Williams ran 11.23 as a 16 year old in 2010, so far they both haven't done anything noteworthy at senior level. Last year Briana Williams and Tamari Davis both ran 11.13 as 15 year olds. It's a bit worrying that she only improved her 60 m PB by 0.08 seconds, at this age you would expect bigger improvements.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Absolutely, but still I'm interested in seeing her compete on the big (junior) stage outdoors.

I found a video on the site of the Dutch broadcaster where she's being interviewed. Seedo said she was born in :SUR, but pretty much has lived her whole life in :NED.

So...Pan Am Games anyone?
