phelps 6,536 Posted November 4, 2018 #221 Share Posted November 4, 2018 I made a quick comparison between men's -55kg and -61kg results with both the new Robi and the old Sinclair system (and despite being a lot different in terms of how they're calculated and of score numbers, they don't change anything in terms of virtual positions where the athletes end up)... and Om's gold medal performance in the -55kg class would have put him only in 4th place if compared with the -61kg guys' results... and Scarantino's 252kg (which gave him the overall Bronze medal in the -55kg) wouldn't be enough to make the top 16 (top 16!!!) in the following weight class... it will be interesting to see how things would eventually develop in terms of the Olympic qualifications in the next 18 months with this scoring system... heywoodu 13,503 Posted November 4, 2018 #223 Share Posted November 4, 2018 This is not going very well. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! MHSN 3,047 Posted November 4, 2018 #230 Share Posted November 4, 2018 Only new WR in total so far we have new WR only in 4 out of 9 possible chances in men's events. I really don't like this "World Standards" to remain for long. I was expecting more from China. but at least they got their first gold.
