How many times did they broke the old CR today at shot put? Lol

I think 3 times: 22.36 m by Crouser in round 1, then 22.90 m by Walsh in round 1 and then 22.91 m by Kovacs in round 6.

Edit: But i think there were 7 throws past the old championship record (1 by Kovacs, 4 by Crouser, 1 by Walsh and 1 by Romani)

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Gotta say, having the 1500m and the 5000m finals on the same day seems like bad scheduling.

Yeah it's really crap to be honest. Schedules should always be spaced out as best as possible so that athletes are encouraged to try to double up. Hassan though did a special double here which was nice to see.

Nice, so the level improved by more than 1 m in 4 years ... more than 5 %. Just imagine at one world championships it takes 2.30 m to win a medal in men's high jump and 4 years later it takes 2.42 m. :mumble:

Technique improved, that's all. Like the Flosbury Flop in High Jump rocketed the heights by default. Athletes finally understood power isn't as important anymore. 1,80m guys rotating > 2.05 guys using the old push-off. Elemba couldn't even reach 20m in quals using the push-off technique. Majewski retired at the right moment and Storl is pretty much cooked as well.
