Inspired by Jakob Ingebrigtsen I thought I'd start a thread where people discuss young sportspeople from their countries we could see doing well at the Olympics of 2024 onwards.

Maybe restricted to sportsmen/sportswomen under 20 years old.

Post your suggestions on who will be the stars of Paris onwards.

So you can only name athletes from your own country? If so, then here is the list for Germany:

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

It's not a strict rule -  but if they're known internationally it might not as interesting to the rest of the world.

Argentina has a bunch of world champions in youth/junior age groups in different sports but none of them are on the level of the teenage superhumans you see coming from China, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe in general, etc. so I would be embarassed to write anything on this thread :d

Does winter sports count? :EST Kelly Sildaru is 16. She could have won two gold medals in Pyeongchang if she didn’t get injured during the qualification period. If she is healthy in 2022 or 2026 she will be a serious gold medal threat in the women’s ski slopestyle, half-pipe and big air.

Heather Arneton (27/07/02)  - Athletics :FRA

Among other things, last year, aged 14, she jumped 6.57m (that would have been a top 8 finish in Berlin for exemple). She is kinda allready famous among french sport fans, might be a challange to deal with the allready growing expectation.

I remember her, for a Dutch website I already wrote something about that 6.57m in January last year :d

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Nothing for Slovakia...

The last biggest super talent was ofc Peter Sagan.

Now apart a couple of Ice hockey players we have probably worth to be mentioned one girl (I already mentioned her here and there in the forum) Jessica Triebeľová in Boxing, thanks god, her parents somehow found an agreement with our federation and other our structures in order of better funding her career and thus she definitely refused the Azerbaijani offer and will stay and compete for Slovakia.

Jessica Triebeľová

3 times Junior European Champion in a row. in fact she is 3 years still undefeated.

Apparently some experts and peoples involved in Boxing are saying about her like a immense talent and are really enthusiastic especially about her technique.

so let see in the future, maybe we will have some interesting results in this sport. She is already dreaming about Tokyo
