heywoodu 13,547 Posted July 31, 2018 #15 Share Posted July 31, 2018 Good job by Nigeria, they're already way ahead, I thought the organizational problems were scheduled to start tomorrow. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,547 Posted July 31, 2018 #16 Share Posted July 31, 2018 Spoiler With no scheduled flights to Asaba Airport, organisers have to charter aircraft to ferry delegations from Lagos. But poor organisation has seen scores of athletes, officials and journalists stranded at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport with transfers to Asaba being handled on a first-come-first-served basis. With the backlog going three days back, the chartered flights have been unable to meet demand with luggage either lost or misplaced in the ensuing melee. No, this sounds really promising: "Let's organise a major event with many hundreds of athletes! Stadium? Check." The week before the event: "Oooooooh crap, we forgot there are no scheduled flights to our crappy airport with a runway in drastic need of repair." Luckily when charter aircraft are called up in a hurry and transfers are handled on a 'first-come-first-served' basis, there is absolutely no expectation for fights and stuff getting out of hand badly. Oh wait, that is exactly what everyone would see coming from a thousand miles away. amen09 1 If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
