5 :d Correctly guessed the diving judges and Lady Gaga apparently :p

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

TWU #9 will be delayed another day. Me and @Vojthas had a busy week, and we need another to wrap our head around all the news, events, and gossip.

Just wanted to share mine (and I’m assuming) @Vojthas solidarity with colleagues around the world who need the income gained from what we do as a “hobby” job.

Right, so we’ve fully integrated with Totallympics now. You can access articles from the Totallympics News Service by going to the “News” section of the website.

We’re still getting up and running at the moment, but I would be happy to hear any feedback about the Totallympics News Service.

Also, I’d like to officially welcome @intoronto and @John Foyne to the Totallympics Media team :hatoff:

Great episode as usual.

Just a small correction, Sagan was not a double starter in Rio, He just used the SVK quota for MTB. He actually had to fullfil the required minimum to qualfy in MTB before the games.

In fact it was a bit more complicated situation, Slovakia earned 1 M quota in MTB (won by Martin Haring) but also earned only 1 quota in Road Race (won by Peter Sagan obviously) but since the road course was build more for climbers, Peter without realistic chances + without any teammates support just decided to gave up his place at the expense of someone else (so Patrik Tybor experienced by this his Olympic debut) and at the same time asked our federation for the opportunity to represent Slovakia in MTB, which is his favorite discipline and in which he began his successful career in junior years.

The quota place was not for the name but for the country, So Peter had to win this SVK MTB quota in a internal qualification, He received the chance to try it in 3 races before the Olympics, where he achieved the necessary number of points to meet the required minimum for participation, and so he got the quota. and traveled to Rio where he started the race from the last 50 starting place at the start.

Haring was given the opportunity to use the SVK quota in road cycling (won by Sagan) reciprocally without a fight (since he won our quota in the MTB) but he refused and left it to Patrik Tybor.
