Very good day for Brazil as @juliosilva and @titicow ended 1-2 at the Miscellaneous Events at the World Aquatics Championships 2017 contest. Staying at the top of the podium for 7 of the 10 contest's days, juliosilva had a performance so strong that wasn't even necessary to score a single point in the last two events. Similarly, titicow stayed at the podium for most of the contest, winning the silver medal in a close battle with bronze medallist @Dunadan.

As usual, also a very strong showing by the italians, placing 3 users among the top 6. In fact, the only user who managed to break the brazilian-italian domination was @mrv86, coming in fourth with the biggest number of perfect predictions of the contest with 3 (tied with dcro, juliosilva and titicow). Rounding up the top 10, @George_D, @dcro and @Dolby had very good moments throughout the tournament.

Congrats to me (I guess) for my TB question answer (05:04:03), which was the closest to the actual winning time of the Men's 25km Open Water event (5:02:46), but ultimately that meant absolutely nothing. Thanks all users for the participation and @tuniscof for allowing me to manage this contest (hope to do some more in the future).

Now please stand up for the national anthem of Brazil!

Congratulations to our first Fencing prediction contest winner and it's an Indian this time !!
Congratulations goes to @Dolby ! Congratulations team
:IND  India for their first Gold Medal this year !

Our Fencing champion @Dolby began the the contest in 4th position and never left top 3 being on top on Day 4 and most importantly for the final Day 6 He proved that he really deserved this gold medal :yes

Congratulations once again @Dolby for this first gold medal, first overall for him and for :IND INDIA :champion:

On the second step of the podium stands Italian @Dunadan  who despite a 21st position on Day 1 jumped to the podium which he didn't leave until the finish switching between all 3 places :d before ending second :p hopefully for him.

Congratulations to @Dunadan for his first Silver Medal, his 4th overall and 13th for :ITA ITALY ! :hatoff:

It was a tough race between Gold and Silver medalist since they had to get to tie-break to determine who wins which medal !

Same thing happened for Bronze race. There were no less than 9 ties in this contest

On the third step of the podium stands newcomer Brazilian @juliosilva who jumped between 6th and 8th places during the first four days of the contest before coming 4th on Day 5 then getting the bronze on final day on tie-break with best predicted Gold medal winners in front of Ciromennella99 .

Congratulation to Our Bronze Medalist @juliosilva for his first medal , first this year for :BRA BRAZIL ! :yikes::hatoff:

So again another unlucky Italian in 4th place : this time it's @CiroMennella99 who lost the bronze on tie-break .:dunno:

Nice tournament also for @heywoodu (5th) and @SteveParker (6th) and @titicow (7th) who were not far from Bronze either :hatoff: .

Best represented teams in top 10 : Team :ITA  Italy with 3 players (as always) in top 10: @Dunadan (2nd), @CiroMennella99 (4th) and  @SteveParker (6th), then team  :BRABrazil with two: @juliosilva (3rd) and @titicow (7th) .

The only perfect picks was in made by the champion @Dolby   :yikes::hatoff: .

Finally, I hope you enjoyed this first fencing contest and to see this sport more often ;)

Now please stand up for the national anthem of India !
