At first look the men’s A group seems a lot harder than the men’s B group. Women’s groups seem pretty balanced...

IMO, any group in team sports which features Peru is the "easiest" group.

Again, I'm glad mexico at least will win one match in both water polo competitions.

All it takes is one win more win to advance to next round. Good luck.

Well, I'm not counting on that.

From all team sports, Mexico only has a real chance to medal in women's football and softball, with very outside possibilities for men's volleyball, softball & basketball

Spoke with :DMA Swimming, they had an athlete training in Europe but he is not ready to compete in Lima unfortunately, it would have marked their Pan Am sport debut. Their pool on the island was destroyed by a hurricane and now they will fundraise to get that fixed and hopefully he will compete in the future!

Will they compete at the World Aquatics Championships? It's a requirement for them to get a universality quota at the Olympics.

:PER withdrew from the basketball competition. :VEN will replace them in the men's event (after :CAN rejected the quota) and for women, not confirmed but likely :COL

Wow, huge blow for the players that were likely expecting to compete at home :(
