Well, they did the same thing at the Youth Olympics and they won medals, but it is a problem that neither the US nor Canada take the PanAm’s seriously thiago_simoes 1 “Sport has the power to change the world. JoshMartini007 2,130 Posted November 20, 2018 #122 Share Posted November 20, 2018 Yeah, some sports are used more for development than to win medals. Though for sports that reward Olympic quota places (or give massive points towards the world rankings that are used for Olympic qualification) or are Pan American only sports we send our best. For things like athletics or swimming, we have the World Championships.
mrv86 2,852 Posted November 22, 2018 #123 Share Posted November 22, 2018 Football +18 +18 After 2018 CONCACAF's U-20 tournament Second Round & Final Match As was with women, CONCACAF will determine at a later date which team in both genders will qualify; this means that Mexico is at risk of missing not only the games, but the podium in the men's competition for the first time since 1991. JoshMartini007 2,130 Posted November 22, 2018 #125 Share Posted November 22, 2018 Really Canada, can't even qualify in the men's team through the Pan American Championships. Also does this mean one of Bahamas, Bermuda or US Virgin Islands is going to qualify a women's team, assuming they send a team to the North American qualifier? Well it's highly unlikely, but I greatly pray no women's team shows to that tournament.

Any word about artistic gymnastics? Women's artistic gymnastics is going through the best ever moment in the Americas, so I hope Canada sends the best of the best. intoronto 4,071 Posted November 24, 2018 #129 Share Posted November 24, 2018 That is one nf that sends it's best team. Swimming doesn't usually because of short turn around between worlds and Pan ams.

This was the case of Colombia in both genders and that of Argentina and Chile in women's. vinipereira and Olympian1010
