Wait, Croatia did not qualified anyone for the Athletics ? :yikes: that´s quite surprising, I was pretty sure that I somewhere noticed some CRO flags in higher ranks, when watching at the results during this tournament  :(

Apparently we have 4 quotas according to our NOC and Athletics federation, 1x M 200, 1x M 1500, 1x M Race Walk and 1x W 200. So much more than was expected, we expected only 1 spot for the guy in 1500m

Unfortunately our best results came in boys' relay (non-YOG event) and M 400 m / W 5 km walk (which offer very few quotas compared to other events).

I see.

Well, at least you´ll have certainly some good medal prospects in other sports ?

Wouldn't be surprised if you lose both the m200 and w200 quotas. Universality countries are likely too chose sprints and those spots come out of the qualified ones.

That would be really weird. I´ve read the reactions of both our 200m athletes enjoying their quotas so much and already excited about Buenos Aires etc...and there were not a single mention about this universality spots possibility from our NOC or Athletics team staff

Well depends on where they finished? Do you know where?

Europe had a lot of countries not qualify a single athlete. Im sure Malta for ex. will ask for the men's 200m etc.

Stars of the Championships.

Maria Vicente (obviously) Heptathlon / triple jump gold

Sarah Healy 1500/300

Max Burgin - destroying the race in the 800m

I think that we can add Pal Haugen Lillefosse, gold in pole vault and bronze in 100m

That is one combination you don't often see :d

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!
