2020 Women's hockey worlds in are cancelled.
6 minutes ago, heywoodu said:@hckosice is now going to protest against COVID-19, it's gone too far.
Reminder, this was supposed to be the last tournament prior to the world ranking that will be used for the Beijing 2022 Olympic qualifiers.
So, I guess they will just have now to use the current 2019 world ranking ?
Anyway, my biggest concerns are for the M U18 Division IA tournament schedulled in Slovakia this April, so far it is not moved or cancelled, but I am pretty sure it will be somehow later, which would be really unfortunate for this generation that is supposed to be one of our strongest, and expecting a gold and quick return to the elite in this category...if we would need to wait another year, that should be a bigger problem since the next year generation is weaker

Nope, nothing
NED approach does not seem very responsible to me

even though we are way past messaging people and tell them to "wash your hands" and "stay at home"
I can't even imagine all the situation your people is facing. I really hope that it will get under control very soon and get better.

I just got my 2 sms from the state
This weekend every single citizen with a slovak sim card will receive 2 sms from the ministry of health with basic measures and instructions of preventing coronavirus and the link to the phone number where to call if you think you have symptoms
Did anyone have this as well in your countries ?

I'm expecting the same kind of thing as with Vlhova early in the season, "I'm not great yet" but meanwhile outskiing most of the world
Vlhová was saying this when she was around 75 % of her peak and still on recovery mood from surgery, and you surely remember she was not outskiing anyone at all in the seasons start, the results in opposite were pretty bad and frustrating, she started to return to her best only at end 2019/start 2020 after focusing more on training for 3 weeks or so

A Slovak family of 4 is in quarantine in Austria, The mother landed last week from USA where she attended a congress, since then all fours showed symptoms of coronavirus, tests were positive, it´s now 66 cases in
-
Shiffrin in her message clearly alerted her fans, that she just started to train a couple of days ago and she is not expecting anything great and hope for some patience from her fans,. well, now is also how much we can trust this too seriously since we know how great skier she is but personally I would not be surprised to not see her ranked very high in any of the 3 Are races though due the lack of training

The next seasons planned grand return of the world cup to Slovakia in Jasná was just moved from the originally schedulled 16-17 January 2021 to 6-7 March 2021.
FIS asked our federation and the organizing committee if we agree, obviously FIS think Slovakia will be the only country having snow in that period or what, which is obviously a no problem in the Tatras...even today we have so much snow that we can immediately host the winter olympics
