  1. The 2020/21 schedule is out. No alpine combined this season is one of the most important covid-19 measures altogether with separate events for both genders (except the world cup finals) 35 events for W. M will have 4 more All North American races are cancelled, the only non european stage this season will be the W Downhill and Super-G test event in the Beijing 2022 Olympic piste The opening event will be certainly without spectators, but it is expected that the same will sadly happe in very likely all other races as well October 2020 17. 2. Yes. + Napoli did not let Lobotka play, he has to stay in quarantine with the whole team back in Naples. + Dúbravka injured, Hancko injured...current shape of majority of our players very bad, Mak did not play for a year now, other forwards play usually some 10-15 minutes per match in their clubs like Boženík...well...it is safe to say we are in deep ...you know where
  3. So, quick recap. Only 2 slovaks from the 2002 class are drafted (quite disappointing for kids like Hlavaj, Okuliar or Stacha but it is how it is) the only 2 drafted are Samuel Kňažko and Martin Chromiak. All in all the clubs picked 71x 52x 32x 23x 17x 8x (Highest pick number 48 - Jan Myšák) 3x (9, 104, 161) (3, 17 and 34) 2x (162, 205) (78, 128) 1x (56) (149) (145) The biggest surprise definitely is to see no player was drafted from this year 62 Centers 61 Defensemens 37 Right Wings 36 Left Wings 20 GK The first pick Alexis Lafreniere by NY Rangers and last drafted was as 217th Declan McDonnell by Tampa Bay First European drafted was Tim Stuetzle as 3rd overall pick by Ottawa Senators, last European to get drafted was Jakub Konečný as 216th by Buffalo Sabres. Highest picks by rounds: 1st round 19 (worth mention all 3 picks were 1st and early 2nd round picks, not really surprising for guys like Peterka, Stutzle and Reichel) 2nd Round 9 followed by 7x , First pick and the Tristen Robbins first British to get drafted since Liam Kirk in 2018 3rd Round 10x followed by 9x (First pick of the year with Samuel Kňažko beng selected by Columbus) 4th Round 11x 5th Round 9x (only picks for and ) 2nd and last this year draft Martin Chromiak as 128th by Los Angeles Kings 6th Round 13x first pick for 7th Round 9x followed by 8 picks for and Highest drafted by positions: GK: Iaroslav Askarov by Nashville Predators as 11th DEF: Jake Sanderson by Ottawa Senators as 5th LW: Alexis Lafreniere by NY Rangers as 1st overall pick C: Quinton Byfield by LA Kings as 2nd RW: Alexander Holtz by New Jersey Devils as 7th.
  4. Going to bed..will see the last 2 rounds results tomorrow so Right now after 5 rounds 50x 40x 19x 18x 11x then 7 other countries had at least 1 drafted guy in the first 5 rounds : 6x (48, 99, 107, 110 ,136 and 146), 3x (3, 17 and 34 ) 2x (9, 104) and (78, 128) and 1x (56), (145) and (149) Still none from Will post more stats and info tomorrow
  5. yep, so far (middle of 5th round) behind the top powerhouses 46x 17x 10x 18x and 34x we have players from 5 other countries drafted right now. 138 players drafted at the moment 5x (48,99, 107, 110 and 136), 3x (3, 17 and 34 ) 2x (9, 104) and (78, 128) and 1x (56) still 0x
  6. Finally someone drafted Martin Chromiak. Surprising he was not drafted in earlier rounds though. 128th is really too low for him, This guy is one heck of talent. Clearly our most talented 2002 class Should be a good prospect for LA Kings
  7. Anyway here you have all Slovak drafted players. Last year we had also only one...in 2012 or 2016 none https://sk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slovenskí_hokejisti_draftovaní_NHL
  8. yep...does not look good this year... again... also only 2 czechs so far
  9. I see, that our athletes cotinue to follow the brave Coubertin philosophy at its pure finest
  10. We had to wait until pick 78 to see a Slovak name (gone gone are the times of the early 2000s when some Gáborík was 3rd pick )... surprisingly it was not Chromiak who is top pick this year but the honor goes to our talented blueliner Samuel Kňažko selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets
  11. Antonín Panenka is in serious condition under lungs ventilation with coronavirus
  12. So, in this bizarre 2020 year we had the NHL Draft 1st round last night in historic online version As expected had the most drafted players among the first 31 picks with 19 players ! followed by 4 and 2 guys from and and 1 player from both and As expected the most selected were the centers 13 ! The clubs also picked 4 defencers and only 1 goalie (the Russian Iaroslav Askarov picked by Nashville as 11th overall pick) Sadly but as expected no nor player were picked in the opening round this year...however chances to have some drafted guys also this year are quite realistic in the remaining 6 rounds (2nd to 7th) this evening from 18:30 CEST (rumors mentioning especially the likes of GK Samuel Hlavaj, DEF Samuel Kňažko and Marko Stacha or FW Martin Chromiak (should be definitely be our 1st this years pick) and Oliver Okuliar ?

  21. and the most bizarre marathon in history is over. Due strict covid-19 measures in the country Only 200 runners (164 M + 24 W), mainly slovaks, completed 10 full 4.2km laps in a special track in the city main street, without cameras and only very limited amount of spectators (mainly athletes relatives) Logically we had a slovak winner after 21 years, Marek Hladík in new PB 2:26:08
