  10. Thanks to Czech team´s medical staff. His coach said, They decided he will run, since it is a WCh Semifinal and also he need points for the Olympic qualifiers, so they tried everything with the czech doctors, big thanks to them. He apparently ran under legal pain reliever medicine, but the calf limited him clearly in the second 30 meters thanks bros

  13. Yep, it happened right at the start... somehow he still managed to finish the race with marking a SB... Go and figure... the extent of the injury is not yet known, but since he cannot step on his foot, the team had to withdraw him from the continuation of the competition. Hopefully it is nothing serious and he can focus immediatelly on the open air season, he need a lot of good points if he want to qualify for Paris I fear...

Juraj Tužinský vybojoval na ME striebro aj miestenku na OH Juraj Tužinský si vybojoval striebornú medailu vo vzduchovej pištoli 10 metrov na ME v maďarskom Györi a zároveň získal aj miestenku na tohtoročné olympijské hry v Paríži. Vo štvrtkovom finále prehral posledným výstrelom o jednu desatinu bodu s Talianom Paolom Monnom. Tužinský postúpil do finále z piateho miesta kvalifikácie nástrelom 580 bodov a bojoval o miestenku na OH. Na ňu mu s určitosťou stačilo striebro a za určitých podmienok aj umiestnenie do štvrtého miesta. V úvode finále sa mu príliš nedarilo, keď bol po prvých piatich ranách posledný a po desiatich siedmy. Potom však predvádzal skvelý výkon a postupne sa posúval dopredu. Po 16. rane stále strácal na priebežného lídra Nemca Robina Waltera až 3,1 bodu. Po ďalších štyroch ranách však bol už druhý so stratou 0,5 b na Monnu a po vypadnutí Ukrajinca Viktora Bankina mal istú medailu. Následne vypadol aj Walter a Tužinský pred záverečnými dvoma ranami o zlato viedol pred Monnom o 1,8 bodu. V záverečných dvoch výstreloch však trafil len 9,7 a 9,3 b, kým jeho súper 10,5 a 10,4 a Slovák tak prehral najtesnejšie o 0,1 bodu. Po pretekoch však neskrýval radosť, keďže okrem striebra získal aj miestenku do Paríža. Z finálovej osmičky mali už pred štartom istú účasť na OH Walter a Švajčiar Jason Solari. Tužinský tak potreboval skončiť medzi najlepšími dvoma spomedzi ešte nekvalifikovaných strelcov. Druhú miestenku získal víťaz Monna. Tužinský sa predstaví na štvrtej olympiáde, doteraz štartoval v Londýne 2012, Riu de Janeiru 2016 a v Tokiu 2020. Najlepší výsledok dosiahol v Brazílii, kde skončil tesne za pódiom na štvrtom mieste. Na ME získal svoju štvrtú medailu - pred tromi rokmi v Osijeku si vybojoval titul, predvlani v Hamare bol strieborný a v roku 2010 skončil tretí v Merakeri. Bronz má aj z Európskych hier 2015 v Baku a vyhral tri podujatie Svetového pohára - pred dvoma týždňami v Granade, v roku 2023 v Káhire a 2022 v Riu de Janeiro. Tretí skončil v Gabale 2015 a v Riu 2016. Na podujatí štartovali spomedzi Slovákov aj Marek Kostúr a Peter Baláž. Prvý menovaný bol na 29. mieste s 572 bodmi, o dva menej mal Baláž na 38. priečke. Postupovú hranicu stanovil Grék Georgios Gampierakis na 579 bodov. V súťaži tímov skončilo slovenské trio na piatej priečke so ziskom 1722 bodov, zlato si vybojovali Nemci (1737).

Team Update (29.02.2024) 14th Qualified athlete for Slovakia, 6th in Shooting. and 1st athlete who will compete in blue jeans Juraj Tužinský earned his spot thanks the silver medal at the European 10m Events Championships in Hungary today. It will be his 4th consecutive Olympics appareance after a 15th place in London 2012 (23rd in the 50m Pistol) followed by a very near and hearthbreaking 4th place in Rio 2016 (33rd in the 50m Pistol) and less successfull 27th place resulting in a early exit from the qualifiers in Tokyo 2020(1). So Team Slovakia is now composed of: 14 Athletes in 4 sports.
