  4. Here's a look at some notable national meets coming up next week: Danish Open - April 11-14 Last chance for Danish swimmers to qualify for the Olympics. Julie Jensen (W 50m freestyle), Thea Blomsterberg (W 200m breaststroke) and Helena Bach (W 200m butterfly) are already qualified. Entry list & results Livestream New Zealand National Championships - April 9-13 Last chance for Kiwi swimmers to qualify for the Olympics. Erika Fairweather (W 200m, 400m, 800m freestyle), Eve Thomas (W 400m, 800m freestyle) and Lewis Clareburt (M 400m IM) are already qualified. Entry List Results Livestream Selection Criteria South African National Championships - April 8-13 Last chance for South African swimmers to qualify for the Olympics. Ibelieve if two swimmers fail to pass their entry times, the following will guarantee their selection. Everyone else needs to reach the OQT. Pieter Coetze (M 100m backstroke, M 200m backstroke) Chad le Clos (M 100m butterfly) Matt Sates (M 100m butterfly, M 200m butterfly, M 200m IM) Kaylene Corbett (W 200m breaststroke) Erin Gallagher (W 100m butterfly) Rebecca Meder (W 200m IM) Tatjana Smith (Schoenmaker) (W 100m breaststroke, W 200m breaststroke) Entry List Unfortunately that's all I can find at the moment. Results should be on Meet Mobile or here eventually. Hungarian National Championships - April 9-12 Unlike the other meets, Hungarian athletes still have until the end of the qualifying window to qualify and the athletes with the two best times in each event with an OQT will be taken. Entry List & Results Livestream
  5. Safe to say that the 100 fly did not go according to plan.
  6. Psych sheets for the TYR Pro Swim Series next weekend featuring Marchand, Haughey and most of the elite American swimmers.
  7. Looks like they're both at the TYR Pro Swim Series instead. Going to be a busy week of swimming.
  8. You can probably add Jacob Whittle as a selection candidate. GB will probably want to rest some guys in the heats and Whittle has relay experience.

  12. I've figured it out. Kim Younghyeon was selected as the butterfly swimmer for the medley relay. The Korean federation will wait for a bit to select any remaining 4x200m freestyle relay swimmers because they want to see if any of the 4th-6th place finished can go 1:46 so they can rest their best swimmers in the heats.

  15. Thanks for posting this Josh! Stay tuned for event previews everyone! I'll try to cover all the major races.
  16. Guerrero and Bichette aren't the biggest problem (though they can be better), it's the bottom 2/3rds of the lineup that's horrendous. Trading Teoscar Hernandez for a relief pitcher and trading Lourdes Gurriel/Gabriel Moreno for Dalton Varsho completely killed the offense. Then this offseason, we let Matt Chapman and Whit Merrifield hit free agency who while not the greatest hitters, are still better than some of the guys hitting now. The problems were already there at the end of last year and the Jays decided to fix that by signing a 39 year old Justin Turner and a below average Isiah Kiner-Falefa. The Orioles and Rays both have much better depth offensively than the Jays.

  18. 2024 Bulgarian Open Team Championships - Sofia (BUL) March 29th - March 31st 2024 Meet Results No new OQTs were achieved
  19. Thought it was a swimswam April Fool's joke at first. Think my jaw hit the floor when I saw the editor's note saying it wasn't an April Fool's joke.
  20. Entry list link leads to the selection policy. Here's a better link!
  21. An interesting development to keep track of heading into Paris. Arguably the greatest coach of all time, Bob Bowman (Michael Phelps old coach) has shockingly left his head coaching position at ASU to go to Texas 2 days after winning the NCAA title. He was coaching college swimmers like Leon Marchand, Hubert Kos, Ilya Kharun, Zalan Sarkany, and also pros like Regan Smith, Chase Kalisz, Ryan Held, Olivia Smoliga, Simone Manuel, Taylor Ruck, Paige Madden, Drew Kibler and Jay Litherland are also training at ASU. I believe the sprinters are lead by the assistant/now head coach so they'll probably be fine but it'll be interesting to see what kind of an effect this move will have on the mid-distance and distance swimmers, especially Marchand. Texas currently has swimmers like Carson Foster, Luke Hobson and Shaine Casas.
  22. If the Jays don't fire somebody this season, I'm going to eat a sock. They did nothing to improve the offense during the off season and expected to contend this season.
  23. Since everyone's posting entry lists for notable meets, here's the one for the Malmsten Swim Open the following weekend.
  24. Psych sheets for the Canadian Open A lot of big names present.
