  1. Taha won the gold and brought the freestyle title to Turkiye. It’s the first time after 1993. Was not expecting this. We also won the greko title. We lost the women title by just 5 points. I know the Russia is not here but still a great success.
  2. Not even Russia, it seems like the half of semifinalists were from Daghestan. There must be limitations on this for sure, maybe giving permit for only one weight for each country
  3. Iran has been impressive in both heavyweights. Congrats. I think Rıza was the better wrestler but he is very old now, he lost all momentum in the last minute. I guess our heavyweight domination days are more or less over with Taha and Rıza getting old. But it was a great decade. The unfortunate thing is we do not have any followers in any weight class. We will probably experience a very bad decade now. But before those dark times we still have a chance to win 3 golds next year in the heavyweights (Taha, Rıza and Yasemin)
  4. Busenaz is a true superstar, maybe our only superstar in sports right now
  5. Not liking the decision is one thing, blaming judges and winner with being dirty and wanting the sport to be removed is another thing. As I said I did not watch the match and you are probably right, it might be the wrong decision, but I see that the points were close and Serra won the last round. I do not think judges were bribed and made our guy win. There were many cases in this tournament that I definitely thought we won the round and it was 4-1, 3-2 for the opponent. I never blamed the judges, our TV does that and I find it cringy, I also find it cringy when it is done here.
  6. Have not watched the game but obviously whenever an Italian loses a close match the judges and the management of boxing become biased and dirty. Yesterday they blamed the fact that judges were from Muslim countries, today 4 out of 5 judges were from Asia or Australia or South America but again they lost because this sport is dirty. By the way we lost a very close semifinal today against Romanian but hey I guess their lobby even topped our lobby.
  7. Very sad with our performance, but not for our final performance, we were pretty good with a chance to even win a gold, but either of our athletes did not make the finals in singles which I think is a huge failure.
  8. I do not agree with this at all, I do not accept the hidden blames to Turkish team implying that they did noy deserve the wins. It was a close game, we losy many games like this with referee decisipn and we won many, this time we won. Please stop implying the success of somebody is not deserved if you do not have proof. Hatice is a great boxer, a world champion.
  9. 2 golds I am very happy for Nafia, who was a chronic bronze medalist. Great success, although her running out of mat many times were quite irritating. I believe Hakan has superstar potential. I hope he soon stabilizes in the olympic weight.
  10. Here you go, if you can open it https://www.trtspor.com.tr/canli-yayin-izle/trt-spor-yildiz/
  11. Wow team title for Turkey It would not happen if Russia was here but I'll take it :)
  12. As Turkey, we were really close with multiple medals in all wrestling, karate, boxing and taekwondo. But we missed it in Judo with two 5th places ?
  13. If there is a point or warning they stop the match.
  14. I am not sure if it is so unpopular, I also find Karate much more enjoyable to watch.
  15. What a drama, Petriashvili can lose his mind over this, 10 seconds and 3 points advantage in the heavyweight and he lost it.
  16. Wow great move from Chinese wrestler against the American just 2 seconds before the end. This might be very important for the gold medal count at the end of the olympics
  17. Congrats to Sanchez, well deserved I am not sure but I think she opened Croatian flag after winning, does anybody know why that is?
  18. I really like kumite, they should stop the match less just like taekwondo and I think watching karate will be much more enjoyable than Judo
  19. Great performance from Stevenson, he easily beat Taha. Unfortunately even though I was hoping the other result, it was expected. I believe Petriashvili's gold is not certain, the Iranian and Stevenson seem very strong, Petriashvili did not look that good.
  20. By the way, I hope it will be even better in Paris, we will come with a team this time and hopefully get more medals, but I don’t measure success with medals for now for us, first we need to build the culture in this sport to be consistently successful, so joining with a team and making finals should be the priority.
  21. I’m not sure if we are spending a lot of money, gymnastics is still pretty new and no sport other than football and basketball in Turkey systematically gets a lot of money. It would be much higher compared to Armenia though, I agree. I think we suffered from lack of olympic culture in gymnastics in this olympics. Other than Arıcan, all of our gymnast attended an olympics for the first time. So although I think we really missed a lot of opportunities I can see why our gymnast could not perform at their best except Arıcan.
  22. Turkey should be 7, we were 6 yesterday and today we lost a boxing qf
  23. He did not look great neither physically nor performance-wise. Both Yasemin and Alperi could have beaten her if they believed from the beginning of the match. I think Alperi did not lose any point to her other than cautions.
  24. Adem Inceredible first vault, he was so close to the gold medal and he messed up in the easier one, really saddening
