Are you sure with this Germany?
Yes. was guaranteed a group quota because they are the hosts, but they already qualified through the World Championships. The quota goes next to the best-ranked group at the World Championships, which is the group from .
However, qualifying at the European Championships takes priority, so if finishes ahead of any other unqualified group (Azerbaijan, Poland, Greece, Finland, Hungary, Estonia, for example), then takes the continental quota. The reallocation will then go to the next best group at the World Championships, which would be .
So, has to finish ahead of any unqualified nation to take the quota. has already qualified, but if they finish ahead of any unqualified nation, then takes the reallocation spot. is the only country that can have a bad day and still qualify if has a fantastic day. -

she is definitely a favorite for a medal
I'd say she's the favorite for a GOLD medal. It will be very difficult even for a Chinese girl to beat this score.

Does anybody know, (as I can't find anywhere PDF document with qualification rules) if an already qualified country, in the team event, via World Championships will be first in Continental Championships then will take that continental spot or quota will be reallocated to next highest ranked not qualified country yet from that continent or it will be reallocated to highest not qualified yet country at World Championships?
Take the Americas qualification event for example: Brazil (already qualified in the group event) finished first, but the quota went to the second-highest group at the Pan Am Games, Mexico. If Poland wants to qualify, they need to be the best group among non-qualified nations at the European Championships.
So, the only groups that can be ahead of Poland are: .Now, if is the best non-qualified group, then will get the reallocation spot through the World Championships. Either way, Germany has already qualified because they take the reallocation spot anyway, but if they get the quota at Euros, then the reallocation spot goes to Azerbaijan.

Fun fact about Koo (as far as I know, a Korean name): this sounds just like a very common swearword in Portuguese, and there's NO WAY any Portuguese speaker can say Lucas Koo's last name out loud and not immediately blush or laugh out loud. No way.

Koo might have a medal chance in the 500m if he gets some favorable draws/seeding.
He needs to stop getting penalties too.

Milei is going to be the last nail in Argentina's coffin. Talk about getting out of a bad situation choosing the absolute worst possible option.
It pains me to even imagine what Argentina will become in the next few years, but it will be a lot more painful to actually watch it happen before my eyes. May God help them, even though God is not responsible for their bad choices.

Women's Trampoline quotas:
Okay, but I have a doubt: since Alice finished ahead of Camilla, does it mean that Camilla can still qualify through the World Cup ranking? Or will this be decided only after the final?

Yeah, don't take this wrong way, I like and respect your opinions.
I do support true policies from the left, especially in countries where inequality is a fact. Hard to find these days, even in first world countries. Seems true sense of civic and collective duty is almost dead.
However, Boric threw so much praise at the militaristic narco regime in Mexico, so I consider him an idiot.
I feel like he's said a lot. There's enough to make half the world happy and the other half extremely pissed off.

Venezuela moved into the top 10, pushing Argentina out who still struggles to win gold medals.
Wait, is Argentina now part of Europe? 😮

I can't say I'm disappointed with the sports because, being honest, I don't really care about the Olympics anymore. All I care about is gymnastics, so as long as artistic gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics are part of the program, nothing else matters. Needless to say, I won't watch any of the new additions, but I also have to say that not one of these sports seem interesting to me in the slightest.

I can't believe what happened today. I just can't.
First, Andrade beats the former Olympic champion after Wevers had a very solid routine with almost no mistakes, then Flávia finally earns an individual medal on floor after 9 years! And Andrade was SO CLOSE to beating Biles!

I'm definitely not an avid gymnastics follower, but at least at Olympics and world championships I've been watching it for quite a few years now. Today I came to the realization that the low bar in the uneven bars is not standing straight, but at an outwards angle
Well damn.
It shows...

Nemour performed the 6.7 D routine instead of the 6.9 D, so she played it "safe" here. If she had gone all the way, she would have earned gold. Still, a phenomenal result and the first-ever medal for an African nation at the senior World Championships (an Egyptian gymnast got a medal this year at Junior Worlds).
Okay, I have to admire the consistency of Liu, Petrounias and You on rings, but I'm bummed for the other gymnasts. Davtyan has been chasing this medal for more than a decade now... He always comes so, so close!
On pommels, it was a nice result despite a weak final. Excellent performance from the Irish gentleman and the silver-medalist from the USA, but everybody else kind of disappointed me. Still, another impressive medal for Jordan. Who would have thought? Two in a row!
Floor was exciting, but I'm worried about Yulo. He deserves an Olympic medal, still his performances have not been all that great. I'm super happy with a medal for Karimi, though. He's one of my favorite gymnasts!
And I don't even have to mention how excited I am to see Rebeca Andrade becoming the world champion once again! Also, I'm super happy for Yeo. She also deserved this medal so much. Biles took a risk and it did not pay off, but she is the greatest of all time and nobody will take this away from her.- rafalgorka, LuizGuilherme, maestro and 1 other

Also it looks like Canada's grip on trampoline may also be at risk here
I see challenging for a medal in men's trampoline, and and maybe in women's trampoline, so will have a hard time, for sure.
Now, the men's artistic team is pretty strong and could realistically win the team event depending on who will compete for and . The women's team will have trouble finishing in the top 3, since on paper are stronger. I'd say that even with Black, the women's team would have a hard time earning bronze (but one can never be sure with Mexico, who had a great competition at the Pan Am Championships and a somewhat bad one at the World Championships).

This was a much better team final than last year's. score good enough for silver last year wouldn't even be enough for a medal this year. was the only team that did not count a fall today, just like in 2022, so consistency is key in winning a medal. had to count a fall, but difficulty was a lot higher this time, so we had a nice cushion.
Now, all I want is:
1) a medal for Nemour;
2) a medal for Yeo;
3) a medal for Andrade on beam.
Everything else that happens will be just a bonus.- rafalgorka, maestro and vinipereira

I can't even imagine the frustration of the Belgian Gymnastics Federation. Losing your two strongest gymnasts on the eve of the World Championships. without Nina and Vaelen it was practically impossible for Belgium to get an Olympic place.
What surprised me is that Belgium did not even manage to qualify an individual gymnast! There were 15 spots and they still failed to qualify, while much smaller women's programs like managed to qualify at least one person.
I'm sure Derwael will have no trouble at all qualifying either through the World Cup series or through the all-around competition at the European Championships, but it was a hard blow to the Belgium program this time. -

Dumb question, but if a nation qualifies three individual athletes, can they form a composite team?
Nope. The rules strictly forbid nations to compete as a team with less than 5 individuals.

@thiago_simoes are you watching??? early thoughts?
Definitely not "early" thoughts, but here are my thoughts nevertheless.
I'm very surprised with some of the teams that qualified on the men's side, especially and the , two countries that flew under my radar. Canada went from a 238-ish at the Pan American Championships to 249, which is HUGE. Not to mention and scoring about 245, which is insanely high for these programs. Overall, I think it was a very fair competition and everyone who qualified seems to have done it the right way. I expected more from but they had a rough day and kept blaming the organization for mistakes that the gymnasts made, so... No, they don't earn my sympathy.
On the women's side, even the "shocks" such as and not qualifying a team, placing 12th and back into the team game were kind of expected because the writing was on the wall all year long. Only finally managing to qualify was a real surprise, in my opinion. has a great team with lots of individual talents that unfortunately crumble under pressure and things have not been different this time either. It will be great to see and battling for a team medal, while and could be the dark horses. Probably the most exciting team final this century because everyone has a chance to walk away with a medal.

Rhythmic Gymnastics Qualification to Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024

The thing is: Germany has NOT officially qualified, because reallocation of quotas is only made official once every qualification event has finished. What we know is that, for sure, we are going to have one nation reallocated, and so far this spot goes to Germany, but if Germany qualifies through the European Championships, then Azerbaijan takes the reallocation quota.
So, basically, we know that Germany will go to the Olympics no matter what, but qualifying through the European Championships would substantially change things.
